Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved horror movies. When I was around the age of six, my
mother and I would go to the video store and I always got to pick out five scary movies for the
weekend; my dad would say, "Now make sure you pick out good ones!". He is the one who got
me into horror movies. We would watch the Hitchcock Hour, Twilight Zone, the Friday the
13th series, Freddy's Nightmares and so on.
I still have my first VHS tape I ever received… yes, of course, it was a scary movie
(“Nightmare on Elm St.”). Years later as I got older I went back to that video store and the
woman says to me "I always wondered how you were going to turn out”; she probably thought
I would be a serial murderer or just plain nuts. I love horror because I enjoy the story, like for
instance American Psycho; the guy seems normal, he has money and a great job, but has demons
on the inside. It is intriguing to think that even the people with everything in their life can
have a dark side.
I am a big fan of the original Halloween. That movie is fantastic; a man with no soul is just
creepy, but the mask made that movie. Then we have Friday the 13th, which is another one of
my favorites. I love the story line. I would have loved to be in Halloween, Friday the 13th, The
Devil’s Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses, and Nightmare on Elm St.

Ladies, do you love horror films? Well then, TheGorehound.com wants YOU!!! We know that there are thousands of women out there that love horror and gore just as much as we do at TheGorehound.com.
Here’s what you gotta do:
In 200 words or less, explain what horror films mean to you, why you like them, what your favorite horror films/genre are, or what horror film(s) you would've liked to been in! Please also send a photo of you with your favorite horror films/posters/toys, it’ll be added to the site along with your horror story! One winner per month will be selected, and will be able to plug their website/Facebook fanpage/horror company, etc. as well. Don’t worry if you are not selected the first time, you still have a chance to be selected later.
